Do I need to get a reseller's license to sell dropshipping products on Shopify?

Hi all,

 

I want to do online business legally when selling dropshipping products through Shopify.

I live in CA, USA. I read online that (in my case) I don't technically need a license for my online business.

 

I am a little confused as to what the process is. I would appreciate your feedback and recommendation

Hi @patricia-shop

You HAVE TO CREATE a business (LLC, Inc, ...) in order to sell legally... moreover Paypal will ask you for your business papers, mainly if you make important income.

However, you probably don’t need a ‘reseller permit’ since you are not taking deliveries or warehousing at your place of business. but, you are responsible for paying income tax on any profits.
