Hi,
The standard commenting form on shopify is so basic. Iam thinking of adding Disqus to my blog comments.
For those who have already tried it, could you tell me if this is good/bad ? Will it impact my site speed ? What are the fees and the advantages ?

The benefit of Disqus is that you can stay logged in, so you do not have to enter information at every blog you comment on; and other commentators can see where else you're commenting, fostering discussion beyond the one blog. It also allows you to sign in with Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, ... which eliminates the need to create a new profile AND helps direct traffic to those platforms.
in 2 words, it is better than the standard shopify commenting feature
It will slow the site ? maybe yes, but think of the advantage more over the speed
