Update cart automatically when changing a quantity in Shopify

Hi, I am using plak theme 1.9. I have a problem with the cart page. If I enable the automatic cart update, the free shipping bar isn't updated every time immediately, and then at the checkout page, I have an error message which says that the cart was updated but the shipping fees are not valid, they are different and I must select a new fee. If I uncheck the automatic cart update, the button which appears, to manual update the cart, redirects me to the checkout page (the button is not updating the cart). Can you help me to make the free shipping bar to update immediately if there are changes on the cart using automatic updates enable, and resolve the manual update button?

Hi @ilyeszoltan

We have fixed the issue, now the freeshipping updates instantly when updating the quantity in cart page.

here is how to fix it in your current theme

 

  • Click Online store > Actions > Edit code
  • Open the file vendor.js
  • Remove all the content and replace it with the code in this file
  • Click Save

Hi, thank you for your response but I could resolve it just half of it.

1. On the first site, it works well on automatic cart updates but there are two problems:

a) when I eliminate one product from the cart the free shipping text is not refreshing automatically but in rest, it is working ok

b) it hasn't been solved the manual cart update button. If I uncheck automatic cart update, the button which appears, to manual update the cart, redirects me to the checkout page (the button is not updating the cart)

2. on the second site, the manual cart update button is working well, is refreshing the cart, but here I have another problem.

a) on the product page, when I want to put a product in the cart, even if it has a lower price than the set step for free shipping, on the free shipping bar I get the message: Congrats you've got free shipping. if I put another piece on the cart I get the same message, nothing is changed. After I hit refresh, it changes as it should be,  Spend just... to get free shipping. On the cart, even if I put another piece or if I take out a piece of the product I get the same message: You've got free shipping even if the step isn't achieved. if I hit refresh the message is changing to Spend just... to get free shipping.

b) when I eliminate one product from the cart the free shipping text is not refreshing automatically

Hi Katrine

The automatic cart update is working well on one site, but on the other site the problem persists. I will describe exactly how it is. I mention that I update the vendor.js file with the one you sent me for both sites and it is the same for both.

On the product page, when I want to buy a product I press the Add to Cart button the free shipping bar displays the message "Congrats! you've got free shipping" even the product doesn't achieve the minimum amount for free shipping. If on the browser I press REFRESH the message changes as it should be " Spend just.... to get free shipping!". If I go to the cart and I want to add one more piece of the product then again it shows the message "Congrats! you've got free shipping" even the product doesn't achieve the minimum amount for free shipping. If I press refresh  the message changes as it should be " Spend just.... lei to get free shipping!" I will attach some pictures.




 

Please help me to solve this problem.

Since it is working well on only one site, may be there is a conflict with a third app on the other site or something else that preventing this from functioning correctly.
