Hi,

is there a way I can add a video instead of the featured collection image in Plka theme?

in fact i would like to display and auto-play the video when there is no feature image in collection page.

Jasmine from Plak support here,

In order to show a video instead of the featured collection image when there is no image, please follow these steps :

 

  • From your Shopify dashboard, click Online store > Actions > Edit code
  • Open the file collection-template.liquid
  • Locate this code (generally in around line number 61)
<div class="section-header text-center">
  • Just above it paste this code
 <video class ="collection-hero__image ratio-container" width="100%" autoplay muted>
<source src="YOUR-VIDEO-URL-HERE" type="video/mp4">
</video>
  • Replace YOUR-VIDEO-URL-HERE with your actual video URL
  • Click Save

 

Note that the video will be muted if you would like to be auto-played
