Built in urgency features

I used to used another theme with a precious business I owned that was similar to Plak (but Plak is much better).  They offered features that were built into the theme without needing to use a third party app.

One of the features are a called a sold timer that said something like "15 sold in the last 24 hours".  This could be displayed on the product page underneath the price and add to cart buttons and would randomize the number of items sold intelligently so it looked more natural. You could also customize the verbiage to say "15 people have this item in their carts).  

I found that this and other urgency features worked great to help conversions.

As per today such features (sold count, visitors count, ...) can't be coded directly on a Shopify theme without the need of a third party app.

I understand that such features may increase urgency and CR, but keep in mind that using non-real features may get your Shopify store shut down.

I added this to our to do list, may be we will release an app for our clients to get real sold counts feature.
