Hi all,

You might have the best products, the best apps and the best tools for your business, but if you are not at least aligned with your competitors in the market, you might not see great financials results, previously I have discussed some of the best practices to follow in order to become a successful entrepreneur, in this thread I will give you 3 advices to follow in order to overcome your competitors whatever their size is :

Mike Tyson stands in the ring during the fight with Carl Williams | Focus on Sport/Getty Images

"When I come out I have supreme confidence. But I'm scared to death. I'm afraid. I'm afraid of everything. I'm afraid of losing. I'm afraid of being humiliated. But I'm confident. The closer I get to the ring the more confident I get. The closer, the more confident. All during training I've been afraid of this man. I think this man might be capable of beating me. I've dreamed of him beating me. For that I've always stayed afraid of him. The closer I get to the ring the more confident I get. Once I'm in the ring I'm a god. No one could beat me. I walk around the ring but I never take my eyes off my opponent….During the fight I'm supremely confident. I'm making him miss and I'm countering. I'm hitting him to the body; I'm punching him real hard. And I'm punching him, and I'm punching him, and I know he's gonna take my punches. He goes down, he's out. I'm victorious. Mike Tyson, greatest fighter that ever lived."

  • Never underestimate your competitors, but fight them as a champion :

Mike Tyson, the heavy weight worldwide boxer champion, who was pretty well know for his speed and power, never underestimated his opponents before entering the ring, but one he is there and the fight begins, he punches as much as he could. This is what every entrepreneur should do, study your competitors, study their strength and their weakness and try to beat them.

We you underestimate your competitors, you will have some kind of "fake" self-confidence, which can lead you to maintain a low quality service below your competitors.

  • Partnership :

Even if you have created the best products or services, your competitors may have a big advantage over you, it is their partners RECOMMENDATIONS. Don't stay alone running you business, try to find co-founders, partners and fellow business owners with whom you can have a professional and friendship relations. "Together we are stronger"

  • Beware of biased blogs but don't do like them :

Some of your competitors may post biaised articles on the web, misleading readers to buy their products, and sometimes even lying about their performance and their achievement in order to gain more clients over you. Try not to do like them, instead be real, and you will gain real customers trust over the time.

  • Don't let the time be your worst enemy :

With all the online tools now and the technology development, you can start an online business in few hours or sometimes in just few minutes, but making this business a success can take months or even years. Try to focus on long term and don't focus on making money overnight.

Such a great example Marouane. I am Tyson's fan. He was almost unbeatable in his peak in 80-90's
