I was wondering if updates typically include instructions for manual updates so that we can perform them ourselves?  I just purchased the theme and now there is an update that I didn't know I would have to pay for proper installation. I certainly don't want to have to redesign the site I have been building since purchasing the theme.  I don't think any of the new features are relevant to me right now but I like to keep things current so that future updates aren't more complicated. Thanks!

Katrine here from Plak theme support,

We normally release a new version of a theme when Shopify add new important features for merchants, in this recent update, we have added the following :

• Embed Shoppay Installments (installation instruction)
• Local store pickup (installation instruction)
• Linked options feature (installation instruction)
• Tiktok icon (Installation)

We have also added more control over the section (Image with text). In order to update it, please follow these steps :

• From your Shopify dashboard, click Online store > Actions > Edit code
• Open the file feature-row.liquid
• Replace the entire code with this one
• Click Save

Before you make any changes, it is recommended to make a copy of your current theme. in order to do so, click on Actions > Duplicate. Then a copy of your theme will be saved on an unpublished theme so you can recover it easily if something goes wrong.

Please note that a theme update is not a mandatory, and if any of these new features are relevant to you right now, you can skip this update.

Unfortunately, for now there is any automatic way to update a theme automatically and guarantee its success at 100%, this is why we exclusively offer the manual update.

Thank you Katrine! I already know how to install the new theme myself. I am wondering if there are instructions on how to do this so that we do not need to redesign our entire store and avoid paying for it to be professionally updated?  I just bought the theme and wasn't aware an update would be needed this soon. Thanks

On my reply, I added a link to the instruction page of each feature, you have just to follow these instructions to add the new features, this won't impact your existing customization or your settings.

Sorry about that! If there were not any major changes to the theme speed or anything like that then I will just wait for another update and have you guys do it. It looks like this update was just for a few features. Thanks again.
