Hi,
How do I add a button in the error search page just below the text Please try a different search term or go back to the homepage ?
I am using Plak

Jasmine from Plak support here,
For Plak theme, in order to add a (return to the previous page ) button in the search page when no search is performed, please follow these steps :
- From your Shopify dashboard, click Online store > Actions > Edit code
- Open the file search.liquid
- Search this line (around line 41)
<p>{{ 'general.search.no_results_html' | t: link: routes.root_url }}</p>
- Add this code just below it
<a class="btn"href="javascript:history.go(-1)"><i class="fa fa-arrow-left" aria-hidden="true"></i> Back To The Previous Page</a>
- Click Save
Below is how the button will look like
