The grey background is used when the image doesn't fit the container, to make the images looks aligned.

In order to change the color and make the collection images to fit the container, please follow these steps :

• From your Shopify admin, click Online store > Action > Edit code
• Open the file theme.scss.liquid
• Locate this code

.box {
background: no-repeat;
background-color: #f7f7f7;
background-size: contain;
}

• Change it to :

.box {
background: no-repeat;
background-size: cover;
}

• Click Save
