Add free whatsapp share button to Debut theme

Hi Shopifiers 🙂

Whatsapp is one of the most used social media/communication platforms in the world and mainly on (Asia, Africa and Europe). By adding its share button to your product page, it will allow your customers share your products with their friends and family.

The Whatsapp sharing button is not included by default in Debut theme. In this tutorial, I will show you how to add it and for Free.

1- Add the Whatsapp icon

• From Your Shopify dashboard, click online store > Actions > Edit code
• Under Snippets, click Add a new snippet and name it icon-whatsapp
• Copy and paste this code into the new created snippet

• Click Save
• The file will look like this

2- Add the button

• Open the file social-sharing.liquid
• Just before the closing tag </ul> add the following code

• Click Save

3- Style the button

• Open the file theme.css
• At the very bottom, add this code
