Hi guys,
i am using the Plak theme which I found it 1000x times better than my past booster theme...
I have a question about SEO? I used a SEO tool, and I am asked to fix some broken links, I know it is not the theme, but how do find them and fix them ?
Thanks in advance
Hi @ahmad22
Katrine from Plak theme support here,
First of all, I am glad to hear that you have enjoyed our theme Plak.
Before answering your question about the broken links, let me first point you to the main reasons why your SEO tool is extracting such errors :
- You may have deleted some products, collections, pages, ... which have internal links somewhere within your site (ex: on a blog post)
- You may have some external links which no longer exist or have a 404 error
- Some external links are probably pointing to a deleted product, collection, page or any other link within your site
In order to detect those broken links, you can use this Free broken links tool, the tool will show you the exact URL where the link is broken with some more details.
Once you spot the broken link area, you can either remove it, replace it or use a redirect link from your Shopify dashboard > Online store > Navigation > View URL redirects
Here are some useful articles about SEO and removing products :

I hope this may help @ahmad22
Kind regards,
Katrine
This is a Gem! Thank you so much Katrine
