[Closed] Sort by xxx in all collection

PJ here from Plaktheme Support.

Unfortunately, this option has been removed as it caused conflict with the Filter Sidebar.

You can setup Sort By: in the filter section with "Newest First, Lowest Price, Highest Price, Sale". Just make sure to include the tags on the products.

• From your Shopify admin click Online Store -> Themes -> Customize -> Collection Pages
• Then from Sections -> Collections Pages -> Content -> Add Content -> Filter:

In order to enable and customize the Sidebar Filter from your Collection template, please follow instructions given in THIS TUTORIAL

Note: Please make sure they are identical, otherwise they wont work.

Hello, I would like to ask you if I can sort all products (in ALL CLOTHING /in the main menu) Automatically from the newest first instead of alphabetically. So when customers click on ALL CLOTHING they will see all products from the newest first. In all collections, I set it up directly in every collection, so it works. Thank you so much

And another question - When I click on my phone on the Blog, so I can see on the left side,  one letter, and the screen is moving from side to side, so the content isn´t in the centre. Can you help me, how can I remove the letter, please? On the laptop is everything OK. The screenshot is below. Thank you for your advice, Marta.

1. There is no way to sort the ALL products, directly from the /collections/all

However, there are some ways to do this:

In order to do SORT all products by Newest, please follow these steps :

• From your theme editor, select the Products -> Collections
• Create Collection -> named it: All Products -> Collection type: Automated -> Conditions: Inventory Stock is greater than "0" -> this would display all of the products that are available on your store -> hit SAVE

• I've prepared you a VISUAL Way do to this too, see attached screenshot below:

2. In order to fix this margin issue, as the Filter By Label is overlapping/ hidden in mobile.

• From your Shopify admin click Online Store -> Themes -> Actions -> Edit Codes 
• Scroll a bit down and click Assets -> theme.scss.liquid and homepage.scss.liquid
• And paste the code at the very bottom of the two files:

select#BlogTagFilter {
width: 100%;
}

Hello PJ, thank you for your reply. Everything is working, just in all products in the sidebar, I can´t see  MUMS & KIDS collection. I have tags correctly in all products. Can you advise me, how to fix it, please? Thank you so much 🙂

In regards to your MUMS & KIDS collection, is there any way you can provide us more information about the issue?

This is the steps I take and it seems to be working fine on my end.

• I have gone to the MUMS & KIDS Collection Link through the navigation bar: https://topstaroriginal.com/collections/mums-and-kids-collection
• I also have clicked the "MUMS & KIDS" tag and it seems to work just fine.

   

• I even have tried checking all the tags, all at the same time with MUMS & KIDS and it is working just fine.
  

   

If you are still having some issues not showing up, kindly first try to Clear Cache and Cookies and check again please.

Hello PJ, I´m sorry I didn´t write it clearly.. In ALL CLOTHING (in the main menu) I´m missing in the sidebar MUMS & KIDS. There are just BOYS and GIRLS. Thank you 🙂

NO worries, is there any way you can check if the condition were properly set from your ALL Products Collection, it should show regardless.

Anyway, if everything is done as per the instructions above then you can just simply add another condition for your MUMS & Kids

Note: Make sure to EXACTLY put the same product tag so it would actually show, and make sure they are completely IDENTICAL.

• Once again, put the exact product tag (in the condition) you are putting in your mums&kids products so they would actually display.

So I did it, but now I can see in ALL CLOTHING just MUMS & KIDS. Can you check it for me again, please? Thank you 🙂

The first condition is less than 100 because I have a lot of pre-orders products with inventory 0, some any products have now -1, -2 (I have set up continue when out of stock in all pre-orders). It´s the reason why I set up the first condition of less than 100. Hope do you understand what I mean.

Yes sorry, you must change the condition from "All Condition" to "Any Condition" and you're good.

By the way, the condition that is "greater than zero" wont affect your preorders, nor the products that have "-1, -2" it starts with 1 and above.
